Ive recently had the dash apart to fix the defrost diverter. Does it blow the fuse if so sounds like possibly a door lock actuator is going out and sticking causing the fuse to blow. I hooked up my camper and a few mile down the road i could smell electric burning. Usualy the door wiring is damaged but there may be more then two cigarette lightes depending on the model.
